Role Overview
Burberry is looking for an accomplished Social Media Coordinator to join its Organic Social Media team in London. The role calls for a strong command of the global social media landscape, including content ideation, platform optimisation, community building, social listening, reporting, and the planning and delivery of socially led campaigns. The successful candidate will stay closely connected to emerging technologies and platform developments, use experimentation as part of continuous learning, and help drive Burberry’s global and regional social strategy.
This position supports the day-to-day rollout of social channel strategies across global and local markets, with particular focus on aligning Western and APAC activity, strengthening social KPIs, and delivering impactful strategies across those channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily execution of social channel plans and ensure high-quality delivery across platforms.
- Understand platform-specific behaviours and use publishing tools and levers to improve performance.
- Act as the APAC platform lead and coordinate between global and local teams, including calendar management and approval workflows.
- Monitor performance against core KPIs, analyse social and platform data, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Use Excel confidently to organise and manipulate data for content and campaign reporting.
- Oversee commerce activity on social platforms by working with relevant teams to keep product catalogues current.
- Design and deliver social-first campaigns and content that express Burberry’s brand story in culturally relevant ways.
- Partner with creative teams to produce innovative campaigns that resonate with the audience.
- Spot emerging trends and respond in a timely, authentic way so Burberry contributes meaningfully to wider cultural conversations.
- Manage projects from planning through execution, maintaining quality at every stage.
- Work with social tools for campaign delivery, listening, planning, and performance evaluation.
- Proactively share news, trends, new platforms, and noteworthy fashion examples.
- Represent Burberry’s brand values across all social activity while collaborating with social, digital, PR, VIP, and events teams for integrated campaigns.
Experience and Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of major Western social platforms and native content formats, including Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Essential understanding of Asian social networks such as WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, LINE, Kakao, and Little Red Book.
- Strong analytical ability with the capacity to turn social metrics into insights and learning.
- Creative thinking with the ability to generate original, highly shareable concepts.
- Proven experience taking social-first brand campaigns from idea stage through to delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational ability and the capacity to juggle several projects in a fast-moving environment.
- Very high attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced setting.
