The Opportunity
There is an opening for a dependable and energetic cleaner to join the team in Hornby, Christchurch. This position suits someone who works well in a busy environment, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining clean, inviting spaces.

Work pattern: Part-time
Shift: Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Pay rate: NZD 24.25 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard
- Clean upholstered and other furnishings as needed
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean toilets and washroom areas
- Collect and remove waste
- Wash interior and exterior glass surfaces
- Dust hard surfaces throughout the site
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial setting is helpful
- Experience using ride-on cleaning machinery is required
- Ability to operate a pallet jack is preferred
- Strong track record of working effectively in a team
- Comfortable following instructions and working independently when needed
- Sharp eye for detail
- Good customer service approach
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent at work
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Availability for flexible hours and public holidays when required
- Experience with floor-cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers is an advantage
- Applicants must be 18 years or older due to company health and safety policies
- Training and health and safety communication are provided only in English, so strong spoken and written English comprehension is necessary
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
