Role Overview
The position is for a Site Reliability Engineer based in Singapore requiring a minimum of five years of professional experience, ideally ranging from five to twelve years. The candidate will be engaged in Level 1 production support, utilizing IT operations practices primarily within financial institutions.
Required Expertise
- Proficient programming and scripting capabilities in languages including C++, Java, Shell scripting, and Python.
- Preferred candidates will have at least two years of hands-on operational experience with tools like Kafka, CDH, OpenShift, J2EE/Spring Boot, Ansible, Kubernetes, MySQL, Hive, Tableau, Druid, or Jenkins Pipeline.
- Strong understanding of Big Data query engines such as Presto, Hive, and Druid.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks and services including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and cloud storage solutions like S3.
- Knowledge in managing cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with stream processing technologies such as Flink or Spark Streaming.
- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Basic database skills covering DDL and DML operations on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Hive.
- Experience aggregating data from multiple sources.
