Job Overview

Air Promax Mechanical Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Worker based in Riverwood, NSW. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson proficient in fabrication, assembly, and on-site installation of sheet metal products, particularly focused on HVAC ductwork systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape metal pieces into finished components using equipment like presses and rollers
• Repair damaged sheet metal items efficiently
• Interpret technical drawings, layouts, and job specifications accurately
• Measure, cut, fold, and form sheet metal using both hand and power tools
• Fabricate ductwork, fittings, panels, and flashings for HVAC applications
• Install duct systems on-site with precise alignment, sealing, and support measures
• Assemble sheet metal parts with bolts, rivets, or welding as needed
• Ensure duct installations comply with project specifications and Australian standards
• Inspect final work to verify quality, measurement accuracy, and airflow performance
• Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety protocols
• Maintain tools and a clean work environment
• Work independently and collaboratively to fulfill project timelines

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker, especially in HVAC duct fabrication and installation
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Sound knowledge of tools, machinery, and installation procedures
• Keen attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Comprehensive understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of efficient on-site work
