Job Overview

The position involves performing, supervising, and certifying structural maintenance tasks on aircraft for Air Arabia and third-party clients, including line and base maintenance. Duties encompass repairs, modifications, installations, replacements, inspections, and defect corrections.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities following approved task cards, data, and regulatory standards.
• Supervise assigned technicians to ensure adherence to standards, resolve technical issues, and provide guidance during tasks.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors to thoroughly review task cards for complete understanding of scope, safety, and priorities prior to starting work.
• Conduct detailed inspections and ensure proper defect rectification using authorized maintenance information.
• Accurately document maintenance operations, test outcomes, defect repairing, and parts usage in maintenance systems, ensuring compliance and traceability.
• Manage the readiness and compatibility of shop inventory in line with standards and operational demands.
• Maintain effective communication with engineers, technicians, and operations teams for smooth task progression and safe handoffs.
• Strictly follow safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and human factors guidelines throughout all work phases to protect personnel and equipment.
• Keep the workspace organized, clean, and safe by upholding high housekeeping standards.
• Optimize resource utilization by minimizing waste, avoiding rework, and controlling costs related to materials and repairs.
• Deliver proactive, professional support to operational teams within the airline and third-party customers.

Candidate Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering specializing in Structural or Airframe discipline or equivalent technical field.
• Competent in fabrication processes, inspections, and maintenance task documentation.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of aircraft airframe systems, repair procedures, regulatory requirements, and approved maintenance methods.
• Strong attention to detail emphasizing compliance and safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for coordination, communication, and effective teamwork.
• Capability to efficiently manage time and resources in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Physically capable of working in varied environments, including confined spaces and outdoor areas.
• Availability to work rostered shifts as required by operations.
• Computer proficient for utilizing maintenance information systems and relevant documentation.
• Knowledgeable about the influence of human factors in aircraft maintenance activities.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in aircraft structure and structural parts maintenance, with preference for Airbus aircraft experience.
• Holding a company-issued Certifying Authorization for aircraft structure is preferred or alternatively completion of associated training demonstrating skills proficiency in place of formal certifications.
