Senior Technical Manager - Solid Waste Management

This role offers a chance to contribute to one of Saudi Arabia's largest projects, involving a diverse mixed-use development featuring sports, entertainment, art facilities, and all related infrastructure. Mace, as a key delivery partner, seeks talented and seasoned professionals to lead integrated teams throughout project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the annual business plan within the allocated timeframes and budget constraints.
• Oversee and guide technical resources related to solid waste management infrastructure, ensuring delivery aligns with program goals.
• Report management review data, technical performance indicators, and KPIs to project leadership and functional teams.
• Contribute to business development, support market engagement, participate in work-winning activities, and facilitate technical training and capacity building.
• Ensure adherence to management systems, governance protocols, applicable regulations, and defined roles and responsibilities within the project.
• Serve as the principal contact for all solid waste management issues, driving continuous advancements in waste strategies, technical standards, delivery plans, tools, and operations.
• Lead technical coordination and provide specialized expertise in waste collection, transfer, treatment, recycling, resource recovery, waste-to-energy, and disposal infrastructure solutions.
• Influence procurement strategies, contractual and commercial considerations, collaborating with PMO and multidisciplinary teams for cohesive project delivery.
• Promote technical excellence, innovation, circular economy concepts, and best industry practices by engaging with knowledge networks and centers of excellence within the organization.
• Support net-zero carbon goals by implementing initiatives focused on waste reduction, resource recovery, recycling, and carbon footprint mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree-level education in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or related field (or equivalent).
• Substantial professional experience in solid waste management, including planning, design, delivery, operations, or consultancy of waste infrastructure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of integrated waste management systems, recycling processes, resource recovery, waste treatment technologies, and sustainability principles.
• Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, leading technical functions, and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
