Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to lead the delivery of impactful, customer-centric software solutions that empower practice tools relied upon by our partners daily. This role demands navigating complex, ambiguous challenges, applying strong ownership, deep technical expertise, and operational insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end features utilizing React, Redux, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
- Refactor and modernize complex monolithic systems, balancing legacy WebForms with modern distributed architectures hosted on AWS.
- Innovate engineering workflows by researching, prototyping, and integrating AI-assisted development tools.
- Engage actively in on-call rotations and incident management to maintain 24/7 product reliability and support.
- Lead cross-team projects by fostering alignment across disciplines through data-driven decisions, clear communication, and collaborative problem-solving.

Work Location and Hours
This position offers remote working options with a flexible, hybrid office model based in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, or Brisbane. Employees will participate in scheduled team boost days in office for collaboration and brainstorming, with occasional travel to Melbourne as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Extensive technical proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, modern frontend frameworks such as React, and SQL Server data modeling.
- Demonstrated success integrating AI tools into production environments that deliver meaningful business and customer value.
- Strong background in architecting, developing, and refactoring distributed systems using REST APIs hosted on AWS.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, automated tools, and a commitment to test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- A visionary perspective on leveraging AI not merely as a productivity enhancer but as a transformative element to redesign workflows and automate agent functionality.
- Experience developing SDKs and internal libraries facilitating seamless cross-team product integration is highly valued.
- An openness to inclusive mentoring and coaching, coupled with a willingness to challenge ideas early to foster better system designs.
