Overview
This Senior Program Manager position is designed for an expert who thrives on bringing structure, speed, and strong leadership to intricate enterprise programs. You will oversee a critical remediation project involving ERP and Salesforce platforms, with a focus on aligning governance, vendors, business stakeholders, and delivery teams towards shared objectives. While Salesforce experience is necessary, the role emphasizes overarching leadership of enterprise platform remediation rather than pure Salesforce specialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct a 12-month remediation and transformation initiative within a complex enterprise platform landscape including Salesforce, CRM, and data governance.
- Develop and maintain program governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and decision-making processes.
- Engage senior business and technology leaders to clarify priorities, resolve dependencies, and understand delivery impact.
- Monitor program risks, issues, dependencies, budget constraints, and vendor performance to ensure smooth delivery.
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams and external partners to ensure disciplined, prioritized, and sequenced execution.
- Provide transparent updates to senior stakeholders regarding progress, risks, decisions, and business outcomes.
- Focus program measurement on tangible business value realization rather than mere activity completion.
Candidate Profile and Required Skills
- Extensive background in leading complex ERP, CRM, Salesforce, or enterprise platform remediation projects.
- Proven ability to establish structure, governance, and stakeholder alignment during large-scale program remediation.
- Hands-on experience or exposure to Salesforce implementations, with additional familiarity in platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, TechnologyOne, or ServiceNow considered an advantage.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and business engagement capabilities.
- Expertise in program governance, vendor management, risk and issue handling, budget oversight, delivery leadership, and benefits realization.
- Strong executive communication and reporting skills, with a capacity to instill clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrated credibility with executives, resilience under pressure, and practical approach to maintaining delivery momentum.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM II) are valued but not mandatory; practical delivery experience is paramount.
What Makes This Role Attractive
- Lead a high-visibility ERP/Salesforce remediation program that significantly impacts organizational performance.
- Collaborate closely with senior business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Opportunity to redefine governance structures, enhance delivery discipline, and restore program confidence.
- Engage with complex problem-solving and leadership challenges within major enterprise transformation initiatives.
Location and Work Arrangements
The position is Brisbane-based with a preference for local candidates. However, applicants located in Sydney, Melbourne or other eastern Australian cities are considered if willing to travel to Brisbane about once per month. The role requires unrestricted work rights in Australia, limited to Australian citizens or permanent residents.
Terms and Compensation
- Employment type: 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Compensation: $200,000 per annum plus superannuation.
- Reporting to senior executives and leading cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
Only candidates with valid Australian work authorization will be considered. This role demands a senior leader skilled in simplifying complexity and driving compliance, delivery, and stakeholder engagement within major ERP and Salesforce remediation programs.
