Role Overview
The Senior Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to support payroll-related budgeting, workforce cost forecasting, and manpower planning. This vital role delivers payroll insights and analytics, closely monitors labor expenditure, and facilitates strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute end-to-end payroll processes accurately and on schedule for assigned business entities.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws, tax regulations, and mandatory reporting requirements concerning payroll.
- Prepare, examine, and submit all payroll-related documents, including annual tax reports, tax clearance forms, and statutory claims.
- Maintain payroll data integrity, ensuring accurate, confidential employee records.
- Generate payroll reports, analyses, and management information to support decision-making.
- Assist with annual budget preparation, workforce cost planning, and forecasting by supplying payroll and headcount projections and analyzing variances.
- Collaborate with Finance and other stakeholders to track payroll costs versus budgets, update forecasts, and ensure precise personnel cost planning.
- Support audits by preparing necessary payroll documentation and maintaining compliance with audit standards.
- Participate in regional payroll projects and initiatives to enhance payroll processes.
- Respond to payroll-related employee queries promptly and accurately.
- Ensure HR policies comply with local legislation.
- Support employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and salary adjustments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Human Resource Management, Administration, or related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience handling payroll, preferably across multiple countries or regions.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll operations, statutory requirements, and employment laws.
- Experience with payroll budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and personnel cost analysis is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Info-tech HR software tools is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
