Senior IC Layout Manager

Role Overview

The Senior IC Layout Manager is tasked with leading the integrated circuit layout efforts for the PMIC product lines, overseeing the technical execution, team leadership, and resource allocation required to complete complex analog and mixed-signal designs from initial floorplanning through final tape-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the end-to-end IC layout activities for PMIC products, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Manage and mentor a multi-site team of layout engineers and project leads, fostering technical development and engagement.
• Develop and execute layout strategies including floorplanning and full-chip integration tailored for analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Ensure layouts adhere strictly to foundry design rules, reliability specifications, and best industry practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Design Engineering, Design Enablement, and Program Management to align layouts with product scheduling and roadmap objectives.
• Lead initiatives to enhance layout methodologies, including reuse, documentation improvements, and automation.
• Monitor and report on layout project progress, identifying risks and defining mitigation strategies for stakeholders.
• Encourage continuous improvement via post-silicon feedback and process optimizations.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Accumulate more than 15 years of IC layout expertise focused on analog and mixed-signal designs.
• Demonstrate proven leadership experience managing layout teams or large layout projects.
• Have a deep technical understanding of PMIC challenges including high current handling, noise isolation, matching, and reliability.
• Be proficient with industry-standard layout and verification software tools.
• Exhibit excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Preferred: Experience managing global or multi-location layout teams.
• Preferred: Full-chip PMIC layout ownership in commercial production environments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with several foundry processes and varying technology nodes.
• Preferred: Successful record of implementing layout automation and productivity gains.
