Senior Clerk/Coordinator - Air Operations

Overview

The role involves managing air pricing programs aligned with regional and overseas directives, overseeing pricing desks and service arrangements, and supporting freight planning and growth strategies to enhance leadership effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement air pricing programs tailored for Singapore operations per regional/overseas offices' requirements.
• Supervise Pricing desk activities including RFQs, Freightos, and Gateway arrangements.
• Contribute to freight planning, service enhancement, and strategic development aiming at leadership within the team and exceeding service & revenue targets.
• Drive new business acquisition and support existing clients and sales channels locally and internationally through spot quotations, RFQs, bidding, and pricing efforts.
• Manage, monitor, prepare, and analyze air pricing data to bolster company growth.
• Ensure all customer agreements abide by pricing rules, recommend policy exceptions minimizing risk while adhering to compliance standards.
• Collaborate with sales and trade lane teams to formulate pricing strategies for strategic routes.
• Support timely bid and quote submissions and proposal follow-ups.
• Maintain strong relationships with airlines and vendors to enhance service and efficiency.
• Develop tools for effective pricing management and update systems like Freightos/Briefcase Pricing with current cost and sell rates.
• Coordinate with regional pricing teams and overseas stations to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Facilitate sales calls with customers, carriers, and airlines.
• Regularly monitor and manage RFQ/Bidding status and processes.
• Prepare performance reports to assist management reviews.
• Perform additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business, Quantitative Analysis, or related areas.
• Minimum two years of experience in pricing, revenue management, sales, finance, or marketing; freight forwarding industry experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledgeable in using analytical tools.
• Fluent in English and local language.
