Stellenbeschreibung
Role overview
Allied Talent is working with an established Irish real estate investment and development business to hire a Senior Accountant for its finance team in Dublin. The position is commercially focused and centred on budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting. You will own budgets and cash flow forecasts for a portfolio of live development projects, monitor results against appraisal assumptions, and provide reporting to senior leaders. Because the team is lean, you will work closely with key decision-makers and gain strong visibility into how deals are assessed, funded, and delivered.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior leadership with project budgets, updated forecasts, and variance reviews across active developments.
- Handle project accounting from acquisition through completion, including tracking development costs and preparing drawdown reports.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts at both project and group level.
- Gather, assess, and challenge cost data from architects, quantity surveyors, project managers, and site teams, then translate it into dependable reporting.
- Carry out month-end reporting and support the audit process, including determining what needs to be reviewed and disclosed.
- Work with the corporate finance team, directors, and outside stakeholders such as funders and joint venture partners.
Candidate profile
You should be a qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA credentials and around 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience. Training with a Big 4 or Top 10 firm is preferred. Experience in property, construction, engineering, or another project-led environment is ideal, although strong practice candidates with relevant client exposure will also be considered. The role calls for solid Excel ability, strong organisation, and comfort handling several projects simultaneously. You should also be an effective communicator who can build productive relationships with site teams, consultants, and senior managers.
What this role offers
This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to move away from a large, highly layered finance structure into a position where their analysis and reporting have a direct impact on investment decisions.
