Role Overview

The Security Operative position is a full-time, on-site role located in Lagos. The individual will be responsible for protecting people, properties, and premises by managing facility access, monitoring entry and exit points, regularly patrolling designated areas, and documenting any security incidents or suspicious behaviors. Duties include responding promptly to alarms and emergencies, assisting in managing conflicts, and strictly following company safety protocols. Maintaining accurate incident records, coordinating with supervisors and quick reaction teams, and engaging unobtrusively and professionally with clients, visitors, and residents are vital. The role demands adherence to company policies, ongoing participation in training sessions, and demonstrating integrity, vigilance, and excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in Physical Security operations such as access control, perimeter defense, patrolling, and responding to incidents.
• Basic awareness of Information Security principles including cybersecurity and safeguarding sensitive information.
• Familiarity with Network Security and cybersecurity concepts, including secure network practice and threat detection.
• Ability to communicate professionally through report writing, incident documentation, and effective interaction with clients, co-workers, and law enforcement agencies.
• Preferred experience includes background in security or law enforcement, knowledge of emergency response procedures, and familiarity with security technology like CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Capable of maintaining composure under pressure, standing and patrolling for extended periods, adaptable to shift work including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and meticulous in following instructions.
• Minimum educational qualification is secondary school completion; additional security training or certifications are advantageous. Candidates must pass a clean background check and meet company vetting standards.
