About Raha International School
Raha International School, Gardens Campus in Ghana seeks a capable and visionary School Principal to lead the institution.
Position Summary
The Principal serves as the chief executive officer and lead educational professional of the school. This role involves executing the school's strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent teaching standards, maintaining a safe learning environment, managing staff and finances, and cultivating community relationships. The Principal reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercise comprehensive managerial responsibility to monitor and improve the performance management of teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to generate monthly reports for the board.
- Ensure that learners' development, academic progress, and discipline remain central to all school decisions.
- Lead efforts to enhance teaching quality, streamline school management, and elevate the school’s reputation.
- Review and evaluate teachers' work outputs weekly and termly, and conduct regular staff assessments.
- Foster strong relationships with families, students, and staff to ensure shared commitment to instructional priorities and expectations.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Bachelor of Education degree is mandatory. Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the education sector, preferably including management roles.
- Proficiency in IT with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to enhancing student academic performance.
- Ability to maintain a safe and disciplined school environment.
