Role Overview
As a Scheduler reporting to the Scheduling Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in crafting, reporting, and maintaining work schedules and payroll processes within the Long-Term Care and Senior Services Department. Your efforts support resident safety and the delivery of quality care aligned with Bruce County’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Plan and create shift schedules for various Long-Term Care divisions
- Monitor and update schedules regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage payroll processes related to scheduling activities
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to meet operational needs
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary diploma in office administration or a related field, with at least 1 year of study completed
- A minimum of three years in dynamic office roles, ideally in fast-paced settings
- Hands-on experience with scheduling software or scheduling responsibilities
- Exposure to unionized work environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with Avanti scheduling software preferred

- Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
- Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Understanding of long-term care operations is a plus
- Effective stakeholder and customer relationship management skills
- Maintains high confidentiality standards
- Must possess a clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
- Completion of TB 2 Step Skin Test required
- Valid Class G Driver’s License mandatory
