Role Overview
The Scheduler plays a crucial role in managing staff resources to maximise efficient service delivery to clients. This position entails creating consistent staff rosters and resolving day-to-day scheduling disruptions due to unplanned absences or cancellations. The Scheduler liaises closely with both staff members and clients, maintaining excellent communication and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Regularly reviewing staff rosters to ensure alignment with key performance indicators.
- Reducing travel time to enhance direct client engagement.
- Handling daily rescheduling tasks and coverages for unexpected absences.
- Ensuring suitable matching of staff skills to client needs.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Prior experience scheduling or rostering in complex service environments (preferably healthcare) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with rostering principles is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework is desirable but optional.
- Strong proficiency with computer software and systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric, positive approach.
