Job Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will respond to inquiries by prospective and existing customers to help showcase the full capabilities of Remote's global HR platform. The role involves qualifying leads, sourcing new prospects, and supporting account executives to maximize the platform's adoption. This is an excellent opportunity to impact the global employment landscape as part of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with outbound leads and qualify potential customers.
- Identify and reach out to new sales prospects to schedule meetings for account executives.
- Effectively communicate Remote's value propositions and assess prospects' needs for fit.
- Support the account executive team as required.
- Educate and nurture prospects before passing them to sales teams.
- Create targeted lists and penetrate key accounts.
- Conduct cold calls to prospects generated from various sources.
- Research key stakeholders, understand business requirements, and initiate the sales cycle by presenting solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Successful track record in business development using essential sales tools; familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Chorus is advantageous.
- Previous experience as an SDR in a B2B SaaS technology environment.
- Strong negotiation abilities and persuasive selling skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, listening skills, and energetic phone manner.
- Strategic and tactical thinking with resilience against criticism and rejection.
- Driven by urgency to achieve goals and deadlines; self-starter encouraging innovation.
- High motivation and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Working remotely experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI-related capabilities and fluency.

- Reports to Manager, Outbound Sales Development.
- Part of the Sales team operating in Australia/New Zealand.

Compensation Details
Remote maintains a fair and equitable compensation strategy, paying competitively above local rates globally. On-target earnings for this position range between 61,000 to 72,000 USD annually, with base salary making up 70% of that amount. Salary depends on factors such as location, skills, experience, training, business needs, and market conditions and may change.
