Sales Associate

Position Overview

The Sales Associate serves as the brand ambassador by driving sales and providing outstanding customer service. This role involves upholding store standards, assisting with visual presentations, and supporting overall retail operations under the direction of store management.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help them choose products tailored to their preferences.
• Engage actively to convert browsers into purchasers.
• Promote the loyalty program to boost repeat business.
• Deliver excellent service following the company’s GUEST framework: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Maintain awareness of the group's brands for effective cross-selling and recommendations.
• Provide detailed product information including features, benefits, materials, and care tips.

Appearance and Professionalism

• Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times.
• Be willing to work extended hours during busy sales periods.
• Keep product knowledge current to reduce stock losses and enhance customer guidance.

Merchandising Duties

• Arrange merchandise attractively following store layout standards.
• Follow visual merchandising and stock handling policies, notably for clearance inventory.
• Keep accurate records of stock movements.
• Practice effective upselling and cross-selling techniques to drive sales.
• Stay informed about inventory and promotions to communicate clearly with customers.

Operational Processes

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions.
• Manage cash registers by balancing tills at shift start and end.
• Process all payment methods accurately including cash, card, vouchers, and automatic debits.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change appropriately.
• Adhere to store security protocols and loss prevention measures.
• Regularly restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor to ensure availability.

Ideal Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a welcoming shopping environment. Previous sales experience is advantageous.
