Role Overview

The Sales Assistant specializes in freshness expertise and customer engagement in the bakery environment. No prior experience is required, only the right attitude and a desire to learn. Your responsibilities will include supporting the team in providing exceptional customer service, merchandising products, implementing marketing initiatives, and maintaining bakery cleanliness. You will also learn some baking tasks during your shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and build relationships with regular patrons
• Handle merchandising of bakery products and support marketing campaign execution
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery and assist with production duties, including learning baking processes

Qualifications and Requirements

• Genuine enthusiasm for providing outstanding and personable customer service
• Positive attitude and a friendly, approachable manner
• Dependable, self-driven, and eager to acquire new skills
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Relevant retail experience and handling of cash, credit, and debit transactions considered advantageous

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand or walk continuously during tasks
• Frequent use of both hands
• Regular lifting and carrying up to 7.5 kg, bending, reaching below shoulder height, and turning
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching above shoulder level
