Role Overview

The Runner role at Be Beach is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of food and beverage items between the kitchen, bar, and service team. It requires agility, endurance, and keen organizational skills to operate successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced beach club environment.

Key Duties

• Promptly distribute food and drinks from kitchen and bar to guests' tables.
• Cross-check orders with tickets to guarantee correctness before delivery.
• Immediately report any delays, shortages, or discrepancies to waitstaff and kitchen/bar personnel.
• Assist in finalizing the assembly and presentation of dishes and beverages prior to serving.
• Collaborate closely with waiters, hosts, and bartenders to maintain service flow and efficiency.
• Support waitstaff during busy times to reduce guest waiting periods.
• Communicate guest requests, special notes, and allergy information accurately among teams.
• Help with clearing and resetting tables as coordinated with service staff.
• Memorize section and table assignments for precise deliveries.
• Participate in setting up and dismantling tables, stations, and other service areas as necessary.
• Keep service areas, trays, and pathways orderly and hygienic throughout operations.
• Replenish service stations with supplies such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in handling food and drinks.
• Escalate any complaints related to delivery issues or order errors to appropriate management or waitstaff.

Qualification Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent education.
• Prior experience in a similar runner, busser, or F&B support role is beneficial.
• Familiarity with restaurant, beach club, or hospitality service settings preferred.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and carry trays for prolonged durations.
• Capacity to work effectively under pressure in energetic and fast environments.
• Availability to work flexible hours covering evenings, weekends, and daytime shifts typical to beach clubs.
• Proactive mindset focused on guest satisfaction and urgency in task execution.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and collaborate across teams.
