About the Role
We are seeking a Robotics Researcher to join our Technical Staff in the Robotics Lab. This full-time position offers a remote working arrangement with a competitive annual salary between $400,000 and $1,500,000. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing robotics data management and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and unify robotics data formats, schemas, and benchmarking standards to improve data accessibility and consistency.
- Create innovative methods for data gathering, leveraging human demonstrations, teleoperation, and sensor data integration.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align on requirements for training datasets used in model development.
- Analyze datasets for characteristics such as diversity, scalability, and overall impact to enhance learning efficacy in robotic systems.
- Develop prototype experiments and tools that streamline and optimize data collection workflows.
- Keep informed on pioneering research from leading robotics laboratories and incorporate industry best practices into internal processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in robotics research and development, data engineering, or applied research domains.
- Proficient understanding of robotics data systems and multimodal data schemas involving RGB-D, IMU, pose estimation, and language data.
- Experience with robot perception, control strategies, or data-driven learning approaches is essential.
- A degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required.
- Background working at leading robotics or artificial intelligence organizations, or familiarity with embodied AI datasets and imitation learning pipelines, is advantageous.
