Retail Store Manager

About the Role

As a Retail Store Manager at Sri Durga Associates, you will oversee the daily operations, team leadership, financial management, and customer service of a retail outlet in Bengaluru. This role is crucial in ensuring the store operates efficiently, achieves sales goals, and delivers a top-quality customer experience in line with brand standards.

Main Duties

• Manage all store operations, including opening and closing routines, staff allocation, and on-floor supervision.
• Verify that the store environment is hygienic, safe, and complies with both company policies and legal standards.
• Uphold visual merchandising protocols, ensuring appealing and accurate product displays and signage.
• Maintain optimal stock levels through coordination with suppliers and warehouse partners, while minimizing loss and shrinkage.
• Strive to meet or exceed sales targets by implementing strategies for increased revenue and effective upselling.
• Monitor and analyze sales metrics such as foot traffic, conversion rates, average ticket value, and units per transaction; devise and carry out improvement plans.
• Address escalated customer concerns efficiently and professionally, guaranteeing timely resolution.
• Ensure every customer enjoys a welcoming atmosphere, prompt help, and consistent brand interaction.
• Lead and inspire staff through hiring, training, scheduling, and regular performance evaluations.
• Provide ongoing coaching and conduct briefings on products, promotions, company standards, and customer service expectations.
• Manage financial procedures including billing, cash transactions, daily reconciliations, and bank deposits.
• Control store costs and safeguard company assets.
• Prepare and present comprehensive sales and operational reports to senior management on a routine basis.

Desired Qualifications & Profile

• Preferably a graduate, with three to six years of experience in retail, including at least one to two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills, along with strong communication abilities.
• Proven track record of meeting sales objectives and driving store improvements.
• Solid understanding of key retail performance indicators, stock control, and fundamental profit and loss analysis.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems and basic Microsoft Office or reporting tools.
