Restaurant Manager

About the Role

This entry-level management position oversees daily operations within Room Service, ensuring smooth service delivery of food and beverage to guestrooms and hospitality suites at a luxury hotel. The role includes directing, training, and assisting team members to uphold high standards while maintaining guest satisfaction and managing operational budgets. The position also supports the broader food and beverage team by assisting in other outlets as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage room service employees, including supervising daily shifts and stepping into employee roles if necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to property policies while managing staffing to meet service and financial goals.
• Use strong leadership and communication skills to influence and motivate the team, fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment.
• Set performance standards, evaluate staff performance, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to improve service quality.
• Participate in financial management by understanding budgets, payroll, and controlling departmental expenses to meet targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly, handling complaints efficiently, and encouraging employees to exceed guest expectations.
• Conduct human resources activities such as training, mentoring, and developing educational programs for staff.
• Maintain open communication with employees and encourage feedback to improve job satisfaction and service performance.
• Provide information clearly to supervisors and colleagues, analyze situations to resolve problems effectively, and recognize quality products and presentations.

Candidate Profile

• Education: High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields with 2 years’ experience in the food and beverage sector.
