What This Opportunity Involves
Contributors will be tasked with designing original optics problems that simulate real physics research workflows. These problems must be computationally intensive, requiring non-trivial reasoning chains in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics, and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes. The problems should be based on actual research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics practice. Clear documentation of problem statements and verified correct answers are essential.
What We Look For
This opportunity is ideal for physicists seeking part-time, non-permanent projects. Candidates should possess a degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field, with at least 2 years of professional experience, which can include applied, research, or teaching roles. Experience with numerical simulation methods, the ability to design problems mirroring real physics research workflows, creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas, and familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques are highly valued. Strong written English proficiency (C1+) is required.

Project Time Expectations

Compensation
