About the Organization
This is a purpose-led organization working to counter anti-Semitism and deepen public understanding of Israel’s role as a close U.S. ally in the Middle East. Its communications work is built around media monitoring, fast-turn messaging, digital influence, and real-time analysis of narratives shaping public debate.
The team operates in an environment where speed, strong editorial judgment, careful research, and strategic thinking are essential.
Role Summary
The Research Intelligence Specialist will help drive intelligence gathering, media monitoring, and narrative development. In this role, you will act as an early alert function for breaking stories, cultural conversations, media framing, and public sentiment shifts that could affect strategic priorities.
The position suits someone who is naturally inquisitive, highly analytical, and constantly following news, social platforms, policy discussions, and broader public discourse. The work includes both proactive research and urgent response projects, from monitoring breaking events to carrying out deep investigations on people, organizations, policies, and emerging issues.
Key Responsibilities
You will monitor traditional and digital information channels, identify the most relevant developments each day, and track how narratives evolve across media ecosystems. You will also look for early signs of risk, opportunity, misinformation, and narrative weaknesses before they gain traction.
The role includes preparing intelligence briefings, narrative updates, rapid-response research notes, and concise summaries that help leadership understand issues quickly and choose the right response. You will also support deeper research assignments covering geopolitical events, public figures, institutions, policy questions, historical background, and media narratives.
In addition, you will analyze audience behavior, sentiment patterns, engagement signals, and public opinion indicators; watch competitor, stakeholder, activist, and media activity; and convert research findings into practical messaging ideas and content opportunities. Close collaboration with strategists, content teams, communications staff, and leadership is a core part of the job.
Preferred Background
Helpful educational or professional exposure includes Political Science, Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Intelligence Studies, Public Policy, History, Data Analytics, or a similar area.
The right candidate should have strong news judgment, experience with open-source research, and comfort working across multiple information sources. Familiarity with media monitoring tools, social listening platforms, analytics dashboards, or research databases is preferred.
You should be able to digest large amounts of information quickly, turn it into clear takeaways, and communicate those takeaways in strong written briefings. Critical thinking, pattern recognition, and the ability to balance rapid-response work with longer research projects are important. Independence, multitasking ability, and a curiosity-driven mindset are also key.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal hire is someone who consistently pays attention to what is happening in the world, spots important developments early, and enjoys exploring complex issues in depth. You should be able to explain why a story matters and what it could mean, quickly and clearly.
You should feel comfortable in a fast-moving team environment, connecting information across sources, and producing both same-day briefings and multi-day research projects.
