Role overview
Hafren Dyfrdwy’s Property Operations team is hiring a Regional Property Inspector to support facilities management and operational locations across Wrexham, Powys and Chester. The position is part of a wider organisation focused on sustainability, environmental responsibility and improving the communities it serves.
You’ll work across a managed estate and other sites, carrying out inspections and helping ensure assets and buildings are maintained to the required standard. The role gives you scope to organise your own schedule, complete audits on time, and follow through on issues until they are resolved.
Alongside scheduled inspections, you will also complete spot checks to confirm work quality and compliance with the role’s expectations. Where you identify concerns, you’ll be expected to give practical feedback and help others put improvements in place.
What you will do
- Inspect property-team assets such as gates, fences, buildings, structures, trees and the surrounding land.
- Check that health and safety requirements are being followed across the estate.
- Work with people at all levels to help strengthen the organisation’s health and safety culture.
- Support site managers and their teams so building regulatory safety checks are completed without delay.
- Help progress and close out audit actions.
- Carry out spot checks in addition to planned audits to ensure standards remain high.
What we’re looking for
- Clear and confident communication skills for working with a wide range of colleagues.
- A proactive approach to promoting safe working practices.
- Good planning and organisation to manage daily inspection activity.
- The ability to work independently and keep workloads under control.
- Confidence in spotting problems early and supporting their resolution.
- A full UK driving licence.
Working style and culture
The role suits someone who is positive, caring and willing to get involved. The organisation values people who want to contribute to something bigger, support their communities and help deliver meaningful outcomes.
Rewards and benefits
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days each year.
- Annual bonus of up to £1,500, depending on company performance.
- Pension scheme where the company doubles your contribution up to 8% when you contribute 4%.
- Sharesave scheme with access to Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted price.
- Training and development through the Academy.
- Electric vehicle scheme and retail discounts.
- Two volunteering days each year.
- Family-friendly policies.
Application note
Applicants are asked to have an up-to-date CV ready and allow around five minutes to complete the application. The organisation will share the result after the closing date.
