Job description
About the Farm
DANK Regenerative Farm is a small-scale, emerging regenerative agriculture operation located in Moncure, North Carolina. The farm focuses on producing high-quality food while actively enhancing and restoring the ecosystems that support sustainable farming. Beyond minimizing environmental impact, the farm aims to enrich soil health, restore wildlife habitats, promote biodiversity, and practice thoughtful animal husbandry through continual experimentation and improvement.
The farm is in the process of acquiring several important certifications: AGW Regenerative Certification, Animal Welfare Approved (AWA), and Audubon Bird-Friendly Habitat Certification. All farm decisions are rigorously assessed by their impact on the land's long-term health and vitality.
Job Overview
This role involves working directly with the farm owner during a dynamic development phase as the farm pursues various regenerative agriculture, animal welfare, and wildlife conservation certifications. The position is a temporary contract expected to last between 6 and 10 weeks, with potential for extension depending on the farm's growth.
The job requires physical effort and a willingness to engage in diverse activities, suitable for someone who enjoys constructing and optimizing systems and contributing meaningfully rather than performing repetitive chores.
