Job description

Position Summary

This role involves being the primary resource for all recreational activities available on the property, including pools, beach, entertainment zones, fitness centers, and children's activity centers. Responsibilities include guiding guests about recreation options, encouraging participation, managing guest registrations, and maintaining a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere. Ensuring guests follow safety rules and observing for any emergencies is a key responsibility. The role also involves providing first aid and initial emergency assistance until medical help arrives, plus assisting with private functions involving group recreation activities.

Duties

  • Offer detailed information and assistance regarding recreational facilities to guests.
  • Recruit, register, and schedule guests for various recreation activities.
  • Foster a friendly, relaxing, and safe environment for participating guests.
  • Enforce recreation facility rules and safety guidelines to protect guests and members.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations per local protocols.
  • Handle cashier tasks when recreation facilities involve point-of-sale transactions.
  • Support hosting group events and private functions within recreational areas.
  • Identify guests who may not safely participate in activities and report to supervisors.
  • Attend to injured guests and provide assistance until emergency medical services arrive.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in recreational spaces, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management and complete necessary safety trainings and certifications.
  • Adhere to company policies, present a professional appearance, and uphold confidentiality.
  • Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, support individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and via telephone etiquette.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to accomplish shared goals.
  • Process payments related to equipment rental, activities, and retail sales using computer and point-of-sale systems.
  • Comply with company quality standards and inspections.
  • Physically perform duties that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, walking, lifting/moving objects up to 25 pounds unaided, and navigating various terrain and spaces safely.
  • Carry out additional reasonable tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred but not required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
  • Relevant certifications or training as required by local authorities.
  • No prior supervisory experience or work experience is necessary, making this role open for entry-level candidates.
