Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

A leading residential property developer is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a significant €150M+ mixed-use residential new build project based in Dublin. This role offers an annual salary of €80,000, along with a 10% performance bonus, company vehicle, pension scheme, healthcare benefits, and opportunities for career development. The position is primarily onsite with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide informed advice on contractual matters at both general and project-specific levels.
• Manage contractual claims and maintain comprehensive records related to them.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential revenue maximization; investigate losses.
• Support cash flow management for the project.
• Offer guidance and aid concerning project-related correspondence.
• Handle negotiations and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers, including pricing and contractual terms.
• Ensure timely closure of all final accounts.
• Draft and dispatch commercial and contractual correspondence promptly.
• Prepare documentation related to subcontractors and suppliers efficiently.
• Compile and evaluate monthly cost reports.
• Review and update risk registers, variation logs, and extension of time trackers monthly, integrating these into comprehensive project reports.
• Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Measure and price variations accurately.
• Engage in negotiations regarding variations with clients, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors.

Candidate Requirements

• Holds a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Capability to work efficiently on sizable construction sites with large teams of subcontractors.
