Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor position is based in Singapore. The role focuses on preparing and checking Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender submissions for refurbishment, fit-out, and construction projects. You will monitor project spending, keep track of variations, and produce periodic cost updates that help guide budget control and project decisions.
What You Will Do
- Prepare, validate, and review BOQ and quantity take-offs for building refurbishment and interior fit-out jobs.
- Develop cost plans, estimates, budgets, and value engineering inputs to support commercial decision-making.
- Track project expenditure, assess variations, and produce cost reports for financial monitoring.
- Work with project managers, site personnel, designers, and subcontractors to confirm quantities, negotiate pricing, and improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Support contract administration activities, including assessment of progress claims and preparation of final accounts.
- Contribute ideas and support process improvements in cost management practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-off for refurbishment and interior fit-out projects.
- Good knowledge of cost planning and commercial control, including budgeting, estimating, and value engineering.
- Ability to manage cost tracking, variation analysis, and reporting to support project reviews.
- Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction practices, BCA requirements, and common local contract forms.
- Working knowledge of quantity surveying and office software such as MS Excel and cost management tools; experience with CAD or BIM tools is an advantage.
- Strong numerical ability, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and careful attention to measurement accuracy and documentation.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and handle several projects and deadlines at once.
