Quality Engineer (Manual Tester)

About the Role

This role as a Quality Engineer with a focus on manual testing involves meticulously executing tests to ensure that products comply with specified requirements and user expectations. The engineer will design detailed test cases, thoroughly identify and document any deviations or defects, and collaborate with multiple teams to guarantee dependable and user-ready software releases. Close cooperation and a sharp attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME), leading and managing the testing team effectively.
• Make critical team decisions and provide guidance across multiple teams.
• Engage closely with diverse teams to influence key project decisions.
• Offer solutions to challenges faced by their immediate team and other teams involved.
• Drive initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and processes to improve overall product quality.
• Mentor junior testers to foster their professional and technical development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in Functional Test Planning with substantial hands-on experience.
• Strong capability to design thorough test cases from user stories and specifications.
• Proficient in defect identification, documentation, and tracking for effective issue resolution.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless quality delivery.
• Solid understanding of manual testing practices and quality assurance principles.
• Desirable knowledge includes TOSCA Testsuite, SAP Commerce Cloud, and EPiServer.

Additional Details

• Minimum of 7.5 years' relevant experience required.
• Mandatory educational background entails 15 years of full-time formal education.
• This position is based on-site at our Bengaluru office.
