Quality Control Engineer

Job Overview

The Quality Control Engineer ensures that mechanical parts, products, and manufacturing processes conform to quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role requires close collaboration with design teams, production units, suppliers, and customers to detect quality concerns, implement solutions, and foster ongoing improvements.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, and final products.
• Investigate product defects and determine underlying causes utilizing quality analysis tools.
• Compile detailed inspection reports and maintain quality-related documentation.
• Examine engineering drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
• Ensure adherence to recognized quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 where applicable.
• Carry out quality assessments and audits of suppliers.
• Apply statistical quality control methods including Statistical Process Control, Measurement Systems Analysis, and process capability evaluation.
• Engage in both internal and external quality audit processes.
• Track quality performance indicators and generate reports for management review.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Strong understanding of quality management systems and standards like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
• Competence in statistical quality tools such as SPC and MSA.
• Experience in performing supplier quality audits and evaluations.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly salary within the range of 24000 to 30000 Indian Rupees.
