Role Overview
The QA Engineer is entrusted with conducting inspections to identify project issues and generate punch lists. Leveraging technology and strong client interactions, the engineer ensures that customers feel valued in their investment and relationship with the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all necessary inspections to detect project discrepancies and develop punch lists.
- Report any customer requirements outside project specifications and designs.
- Review onsite inspection requests and confirm completion within 48 hours.
- Provide daily and weekly progress updates, including challenges encountered.
- Document and escalate recurring and major issues to department heads as needed.
- Ensure resolution of all customer snags and manage all QA inspection requests.
- Manage snag reports from property owners and stakeholders and report daily on received service inspection requests.
- Use appropriate system access for operational and reporting duties.
- Arrange regular progress meetings with contractors to monitor work status.
- Maintain records of disputed snags and escalate unresolved issues.
- Define and oversee external vendor engagement for out of scope or disputed works.
- Support dispute resolution with evidence and data.
- Propose improvements to processes to enhance operations and client experience.
- Utilize portals and systems effectively to track snagging and inspections.
- Coordinate with project teams and contractors for up-to-date project information.
- Conduct pre-handover inspections and continuous updates on snagging.
- Follow up and verify contractors' completion of snag rectifications.
- Analyze project performance from technical and commercial perspectives.
- Prepare comprehensive presentations and reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within related fields.
