Role Overview
As a Public Relations Coordinator at McKinsey & Company based in Riyadh, you will serve as a strategic intermediary between the firm and various Saudi Arabian government entities and regulatory bodies. Your responsibilities include managing sensitive government-related processes to ensure compliance with local regulations and smooth operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a primary liaison between McKinsey and Saudi government agencies, particularly in critical situations requiring direct interventions.
- Delivering efficient administrative assistance related to employment permits, business licenses, visas, and other approvals overseen by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), consulates, and immigration offices.
- Proactively managing residence permits (Iqamas), work permits, exit and re-entry visas, visa cancellations, and social insurance compliance (GOSI) for expatriate employees and dependents.
- Administering business licenses, tax payments, and coordinating with regulatory bodies such as Ministry of Municipality and MHRSD for compliance initiatives.
- Monitoring Saudization metrics and Nitaqat requirements, advising leadership on compliance actions including realigning job titles with regulatory standards.
- Securing necessary documentation via the Chamber of Commerce for business visa processing.
- Serving as an internal expert on visa formalities and government protocols while maintaining secure records of all submissions and services.
- Providing crisis management and risk mitigation support including resolving port-of-entry issues at Saudi immigration with discretion and urgency.
- Coordinating directly with government authorities during incidents like employee detentions to protect company interests.
- Preparing for regulatory inspections ensuring exemplary corporate conduct.
- Handling sensitive cases such as medical emergencies or death of employees/dependents with utmost care and respect.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Secondary education completion minimum.
- At least 5 years experience in comparable roles involving extensive interaction with government agencies and embassies.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude with resilience in ambiguous situations and ability to multitask efficiently.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all dealings.
- Effective influencing skills with good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
