About the Role

Join WSP New Zealand as a Property Consultant based in one of our South Island offices (Nelson, Blenheim, Greymouth, Dunedin, or Invercargill). You'll engage in a variety of projects across Aotearoa, focusing on acquisition, disposal, and/or legalisation, aiming to deliver high-quality client outcomes. This role offers flexibility between part-time and full-time hours and emphasizes collaboration within the WSP Regional Property team.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Apply knowledge in property valuation, legal frameworks, and government property matters to support project objectives.
  • Manage property acquisition and disposal processes while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Develop clear and detailed reports, maintaining precision and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with property owners and professionals, building trusted advisor relationships.
  • Work independently and contribute proactively within a broader regional property team.
  • Utilize strong organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes

  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification in property, legal, or related fields.
  • Have preferably at least three years of professional experience in property or legal disciplines.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with legislation such as the Public Works Act, Local Government Act, and Reserves Act.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and proficient report writing abilities.
  • Showcase problem-solving skills and creativity in developing solutions.
