About the Role
The Project Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of the multi-year Cash Service Center (CSC) transition and consolidation projects. This role is responsible for end-to-end management of this significant transformation within the bank's cash operations, ensuring smooth delivery across construction, technology rollouts, workforce changes, and ongoing business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain detailed, integrated project schedules encompassing construction timelines and automated systems such as Dematic.
- Create comprehensive project plans covering scope, milestones, timelines, and success metrics for CSC transition activities.
- Break down complex, interconnected System initiatives into manageable workstreams with defined ownership and measurable results.
- Foster and manage strong working relationships with business partners including Cash Operations, Corporate Real Estate, FedCash Services, IT, and 1st District leadership.
- Navigate and influence System-level governance to balance Second District objectives with larger System goals.
- Oversee vendor partnerships involving construction, automation providers, armored transport, and specialized consultants.
- Act as the chief liaison between operational teams and senior executives, translating technical details into strategic insights.
- Monitor and track project progress across diverse business units, analyze performance data, and recommend corrective actions to ensure target achievement or operational adjustments.
- Promote cross-functional communication and collaboration to align timelines and integration across operating units during phased transitions.
- Support organizational change initiatives by effectively communicating project impacts and fostering adoption at all levels.
- Manage governance processes by conducting regular updates for managers and senior stakeholders and maintaining project documentation compliant with governance standards.
- Identify, assess, document, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues proactively; develop contingency plans and escalate critical concerns as needed.
- Coordinate allocation of resources and monitor budget adherence to ensure efficient project execution.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated success managing large, technically complex projects from start to finish, particularly involving facility transitions, infrastructure, or business transformation.
- Experience working in mission-critical, regulated environments such as manufacturing, logistics, or financial services strongly preferred.
- Strong capability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously within interdependent and competing demands.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence a wide array of stakeholders from operational teams to senior leadership.
- Expert problem-solving and decision-making skills capable of clarifying complex ambiguous situations into actionable solutions.
- Advanced analytical and financial competencies, including development and interpretation of KPIs and performance metrics.
- Experience driving organizational change and managing transitions effectively.
- Ability to conduct executive-level briefings and maintain compliance with Federal Reserve governance, audit, and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with process improvement techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, comfortable delivering presentations and facilitating group discussions with high-level audiences.
- Adaptability to rapidly assimilate new information and manage multiple evolving priorities.
- Emotional intelligence to build trustful, authentic relationships and foster inclusive team environments.
- Must meet Federal Reserve System conflict of interest compliance.
Additional Skills Optimally Valued
Experience applying Lean and Six Sigma process improvement methodologies is desirable.
