Project Manager

Role overview

Digisourced is seeking a contract Project Manager to support delivery on an international programme for a client based in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Area. The role is onsite and focused on coordinating project execution in technical and agile environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and keep up to date project plans, timelines, and resource plans in line with client needs.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables so they align with the client’s business objectives, working closely with management and stakeholders.
• Identify project dependencies and critical paths, and manage them proactively.
• Track risks and issues, then prepare contingency measures where needed.
• Take actions to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and other client expectations.
• Monitor progress and produce regular status updates for the client and senior leadership.
• Organize and run project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholder groups and the client’s project team.
• Gather and structure both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Convert customer needs into formal requirements, and define use cases, scenarios, and system context.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria, and help prioritize the product backlog with product owners and stakeholders.
• Support requirements handling throughout the full lifecycle, from creation through acceptance.
• Assist with test coordination and fleet rollouts.

Required experience and qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting project teams in technical and agile settings; ITIL 4 or Scrum certification is expected.
• Strong background in project management, with Prince2 or IPMA certification.
• Proven experience managing IT projects.
• Solid expertise in requirements engineering for complex system landscapes.
• Requirements Engineering certification.
• Practical experience using tools such as Jira Software and Confluence for project and process tracking.

Preferred background

• Experience leading projects, especially in crisis situations, is a plus.
• Prior exposure to IT systems in the transport sector, including rail or automotive, is preferred.
• Basic understanding of information security in IT systems is desirable.
• Basic awareness of latency and availability requirements in IT systems is desirable.
