Role Overview
The Project Engineer role supports Project Managers to ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects. The position focuses on improving detailed design and construction processes while providing added value to clients through innovative design and construction expertise, tools, and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project coordination and manage subcontractors to support on-schedule delivery and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to address design challenges and offer technical guidance throughout design and construction stages.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining detailed schedules to facilitate effective program management and project delivery.
- Support site-based activities including cost control, quality assurance, environmental compliance, and report progress to senior engineers.
- Promote and uphold health and safety initiatives to ensure all work complies with safety laws and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess relevant building and tertiary qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical competence with the capability to address and resolve complex issues.
- Experience overseeing subcontractor performance and coordinating design efforts.
- Understanding of cost management, quality assurance, and environmental controls within construction settings.
- A firm commitment to advocating health and safety regulations and practices.
