Project Engineer - Civil (Substation)

Role Overview

This position involves managing and executing civil engineering tasks for substation projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines. The project engineer will collaborate closely with multiple teams and oversee all aspects of civil work execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehend project scope and prepare detailed time schedules in consultation with the project manager and planning engineer.
• Lead the execution of civil construction activities in coordination with interdepartmental teams and civil subcontractors.
• Serve as the point of contact for coordination with the design team and the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for substation works.
• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) estimations for civil works involved.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts related to civil engineering tasks.
• Organize resources efficiently for structural and finishing work to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify and cultivate a reliable and qualified vendor base for supply and subcontractor services related to civil works.
• Maintain cost control to keep expenses within the approved budget.
• Monitor and track project schedules daily, weekly, and monthly, implementing corrective measures if deviations arise.
• Coordinate and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials as per agreed timelines.
• Manage the closure of all civil-related punch list items at project completion.
