Role Overview
The Project Control Specialist position is a full-time, on-site role based in Brigden, ON. The individual will oversee project financials and schedules to ensure timely completion within budget. Key responsibilities involve monitoring spending, updating cost documentation, analyzing variances, preparing financial forecasts, and providing project managers with detailed insights. Collaboration with engineering, construction, and finance teams is essential to maintain precise records, facilitate change management, and contribute to reporting efforts aimed at leadership and clients. Furthermore, the specialist will drive enhancements in project control methodologies and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in project financial management including cost control, cost management, and budgeting.
- Experience in project control focused on progress tracking, documentation upkeep, and schedule and cost reporting.
- Analytical ability to interpret data, discern trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Proficient with project management and financial software, spreadsheets, and data visualization applications.
- Background in construction, industrial, or mechanical contracting preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capacity, and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams on site.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, finance, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
