About the Role
The Global Operations Group at Lam Research integrates information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and large-scale manufacturing to efficiently power the company's worldwide business activities. This team ensures Lam delivers top-tier industry solutions swiftly while supporting sustainable and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute testing and troubleshooting procedures on complete wafer fabrication equipment modules, involving electronic circuits, photonics, and logic systems.
- Follow detailed work instructions, schematic diagrams, and relevant documentation to guide testing and troubleshooting efforts.
- Assist in identifying corrective methods to resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Operate a variety of test instruments including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Accurately interpret and execute assembly instructions to ensure correct product function.
- Report issues and solutions timely to the appropriate teams.
Safety Protocols
- Complete all mandated safety training sessions.
- Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and cleanroom procedures.
- Follow Lockout Tagout (LOTO and ZEST) policies to ensure workplace safety.
- Utilize mechanical aids such as lift hoists, gantry cranes, and lifting tools during equipment assembly.
- Conduct Risk Management By Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections, documenting and addressing safety hazards or escalating as necessary.
- Act promptly to unsafe practices, escalating unresolved safety concerns to supervisory staff.
Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms with supervisors and colleagues.
- Provide timely updates on production issues, suggest improvements, and share system status during shift changes.
- Engage actively in meetings and training sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Between 1 and 2 years of experience in electrical and electronics testing.
- Proficient English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities including rework, overtime, and limited travel requirements.
- Experienced with computer-based data systems and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Job Requirements
- Capability to work 12-hour shifts in a demanding, fast-paced setting.
- Physical ability to squat, kneel, walk, climb, stand, and maintain ergonomically challenging positions for over half of the shift.
- Lift up to 35 pounds safely.
- Perform repetitive manual tasks using hand tools.
- Accurately distinguish wire colors for identification purposes.
- Use various hand tools including calipers, circuit testers, wrenches, hoists, ohm meters, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, ladders, and cutters.
Essential Competencies
- Mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair expertise.
- Skills in electrical and electronics testing.
- Strong knowledge of product function and design.
- Critical thinking capabilities.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with software tools.
