Production Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and outcome-oriented Production Manager to direct production planning, manufacturing workflows, quality assurance, and workforce supervision. This role requires expertise in production and operations management to guarantee resource efficiency, prompt delivery, cost management, and strict compliance with quality and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily production activities to achieve established targets.
• Create and execute production schedules aligned with customer demands and business priorities.
• Oversee production processes to maintain efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
• Maximize usage of manpower, machinery, and materials while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Ensure production orders are completed on time without compromising quality.

Operations Oversight

• Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations ensuring uninterrupted workflow.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics departments for integrated operations.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
• Monitor production expenses and propose cost reduction strategies.
• Plan inventory effectively for raw materials and finished products.

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and motivate production supervisors and floor staff.
• Assign work responsibilities and evaluate team performance.
• Conduct training programs to enhance productivity, quality standards, and safety awareness.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure all products comply with company quality benchmarks and customer specifications.
• Work alongside the Quality team to minimize defects and enhance overall production quality.
• Maintain adherence to company SOPs, ISO standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Keep precise production records and documentation.

Safety and Maintenance

• Enforce workplace safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for reduced machine downtime and optimized equipment operation.
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment.

Reporting and Performance Analysis

• Prepare comprehensive production and operations reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Analyze key production indicators and suggest corrective measures.
• Report operational performance to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related disciplines.
• MBA or PGDM in Operations is advantageous.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in production and operations within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrable experience managing production teams and plant operations.
