It offers accessible public transport and a welcoming workplace culture promoting flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.

Role Overview

The Council is searching for an experienced Product Owner to lead its ERP transformation initiative. This key position involves managing the TechnologyOne ERP system implementation, coordinating Subject Matter Experts, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. The role focuses on aligning people, processes, and technology to prepare the organization for enduring change across Council operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the scope and tactical decisions for the TechnologyOne ERP implementation project.
  • Lead and coordinate Subject Matter Experts involved in the project.
  • Oversee internal resources, manage dependencies, and provide executive program reporting.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive organization-wide stakeholder engagement and change management strategies.
  • Drive user adoption and business readiness through targeted change initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops, consultations, and engagement at all Council levels.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with TechnologyOne, implementation vendors, and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Change Lead to assess stakeholder involvement and change readiness.
  • Ensure system integrations comply with governing legislation and best practices.
  • Supervise the design and deployment of role-specific training programs jointly with TechnologyOne and functional leads.
  • Champion process standardization and optimize workflows throughout the organization.
  • Own the realization and delivery of transformation benefits across all Council departments.
  • Coordinate closely with the Program Manager to ensure cohesive engagement efforts and prevent overlap.
  • Conduct user engagement sessions, demonstrations, and feedback collection to monitor progress.
  • Evaluate adoption metrics, tool usage, and confidence levels following go-live.

About You

You are a well-versed Product Owner with robust experience managing complex ERP or large-scale transformational business initiatives. You excel where technology, processes, and people intersect, applying strategic leadership and a collaborative style. Your influencing skills help mobilize stakeholders and facilitate successful organizational change.

  • Hybrid working options are available.
  • A salary package ranging from $133,000 to $149,000 annually plus superannuation.
  • Monthly rostered day off (RDO) provided.
  • Transfer or utilization of Long Service Leave (LSL) from other local government roles is possible.
  • Access to extensive training, career development opportunities, and salary sacrifice options.
