Role Location and Working Days
This position is based in Tonbridge, Kent with a hybrid work arrangement requiring attendance onsite two to three days weekly, with Tuesdays and Thursdays being mandatory.
Compensation and Employment Type
The role is full-time, permanent, offering an annual salary ranging from £37,000 to £40,000.
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially astute and highly organised Product Manager specialized in gifting to lead and grow our expanding gifting portfolio. You will be a key player in crafting innovative gift products and experiences that resonate with customers, managing a diverse array of offerings including gift sets, bottled products, branded collaborations, and tailored customer projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of the gifting portfolio including company-owned gifts, branded partnerships, and custom gifting projects.
- Create and update the gifting product roadmap aligning commercial goals with customer needs and key seasonal deadlines.
- Analyze portfolio performance continuously to identify potential for growth, innovation, and improvements.
- Manage multiple gifting projects simultaneously from the ideation phase through to market launch.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and critical paths to ensure punctual and high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate all aspects of product samples, artwork approvals, and packaging development ensuring production readiness.
- Develop detailed product costings and Bills of Materials (BOMs), negotiating with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
- Support pricing strategies by leveraging deep understanding of product costs, margins, and commercial objectives.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring quotations, quality assurance, and production activities to drive continuous supplier performance improvements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all gifting projects, collaborating cross-functionally with Buying, Brand, Design, Compliance, Operations, Demand Planning, and Customer Service teams to guarantee successful product launches and alignment.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in Product Management, Product Development, or Project Management within retail, FMCG, or consumer products sectors.
- Proven ability in developing physical products, packaging, and gift solutions.
- Strong commercial understanding with capability in building product costings and managing margins.
- Excellent skills in supplier negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset focused on solutions and continuous improvement.
- Passion for creating innovative products that deliver outstanding customer experiences.
