Product Manager

About the Role

StraitsX is seeking a strategic Product Manager with a strong technical background to oversee critical banking partnerships and payment infrastructure across the region. Reporting directly to the Product Lead, you will manage integrations with banking partners and steer essential payment programs, blending technical understanding with business strategy. Success in this role is defined by the stability of banking integrations, lowering payment processing expenses, and driving revenue through innovative banking features and regional payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Product Lead and fellow product managers to identify, ideate, develop, and launch products aimed at growth and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the entire product lifecycle, from research and design through development and launch, with a focus on customer-centric innovation.
• Create detailed product specifications to outline new offerings clearly.
• Author and manage user stories and visual mockups using tools such as Notion, Figma, and Whimsical for teamwork enhancement.
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap, building consensus on priorities that drive effective product delivery.
• Coordinate alignment among product teams and cross-functional groups including Marketing, Operations, Business Development, Compliance, and senior leadership.
• Partner with developers to define and execute user acceptance testing.
• Lead product development efforts with a talented team of engineers and designers to ensure high-quality results.

Candidate Profile

• Three to five years of experience in product management within the payments industry, demonstrating consistent achievement of quantifiable outcomes for users and businesses.
• Proficient in reading and authoring API documentation, with the ability to understand complex technical details and effectively communicate them to non-technical audiences.
• A strong focus on product functionality and measuring long-term impact, with expertise in funnel analytics, experimental design, and A/B testing to improve performance.
• Adept at both conceptualizing new product experiences from scratch and refining existing processes, with an intuitive sense for the appropriate approach.
• Effective influencer capable of driving collaboration across diverse teams including Engineering, Compliance, Marketing, and Business Development; proactive and valued as a dependable team member.
• Possesses robust analytical abilities and a hands-on approach; willing to tackle challenges such as managing bank rejection patterns and negotiating financial terms to ensure project success.
