Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-zoned produce department that is always ready for customers.
• Regularly rotate products and remove expired items to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage by following protocols for ordering, clearance, adjustments, labeling, and displays.
• Adhere to food safety standards, including temperature checks, correct use of thermometers, safe food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock merchandise, set up displays such as modulars and shelf caps, and apply product protection measures as needed to keep stock levels consistent.
• Observe all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Display flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business requirements and support smooth store operations.

Challenges in the Role

• Handle high task volumes efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight hours, by planning and maintaining energy and focus throughout shifts.
• Perform physical responsibilities such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently carry out repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing with attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation & Location

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70 (CAD).
