About the Role
We are seeking a proficient Procurement Operations Associate Manager to oversee the Meetings & Events category across the APAC region. This position involves coordinating procurement activities related to Travel & Mobility under Accenture's global Procurement Plus program while ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and supplier performance aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Meetings & Events category at the market level, driving alignment with global strategies and linking initiatives to business priorities and measurable value.
- Manage full-cycle strategic sourcing processes including strategy formulation, executing RFx procedures, supplier negotiation, award recommendation, and contract finalization.
- Ensure compliance and procurement governance by promoting standard processes, supporting preferred suppliers, and maintaining procurement hygiene.
- Oversee supplier performance by tracking KPIs like cost savings and service standards and facilitating continuous improvements.
- Conduct market intelligence and spend analyses to identify opportunities for savings, optimize supplier base, and incorporate market and regulatory insights into category strategies.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively within global, regional, and local teams to promote procurement objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10 to 14 years of experience with 3 to 5 years in strategic procurement, including 2 to 4 years specifically in Meetings & Events sourcing in a Strategic Meetings Management environment.
- Strong expertise in the procurement lifecycle, encompassing request for proposals, contract negotiation, supplier management, and crafting Service Level Agreements.
- Sound knowledge of procurement legislation, subcontracting frameworks, and third-party agency governance.
- Ability to analyze commercial proposals, pricing models, and conduct data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Proven strategic sourcing and category management skills complemented by contract law knowledge.
- Exceptional negotiation and influence skills to engage senior executives and external suppliers effectively.
- Minimum qualification includes a degree focused on business, economics, procurement, travel, or equivalent professional education.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership in complex matrix organizations to implement procurement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management capabilities to build trust and ensure collaboration across functions.
- Leadership experience coordinating small teams and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with high quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present clear insights and recommendations.
