About the Role
Accenture, a leading global professional services firm specializing in digital, cloud, and security, is seeking a Procurement Operations Analyst to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This position is focused on managing procurement operations to help clients achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies related to the acquisition of goods and services critical to daily business operations. The role encompasses the entire procurement lifecycle including need identification, supplier selection, contract negotiation, purchase order management, and delivery oversight, all aimed at acquiring quality products at competitive prices while ensuring timely and effective supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase order processing and management in alignment with client agreements and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to facilitate smooth transaction flows and promptly address any purchase order issues or delivery discrepancies.
- Validate purchase requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company policies before generating purchase orders.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal buyers to resolve discrepancies, confirm purchase order acceptance, and monitor delivery schedules.
- Track and monitor purchase order status and shipments, liaising with receiving departments to confirm deliveries and resolve any inconsistencies.
- Maintain proper documentation of all purchase orders and continuously work to enhance procurement process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support business needs by managing customer and supplier relationships and ensuring high standards of quality and service are upheld.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Any graduate degree; bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related fields is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in procurement operations, purchase order management, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail with diligence in data entry and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Well-versed in supply chain management concepts and procurement best practices.
- Effective communicator with the ability to manage workload and priorities efficiently.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to various organizational cultures.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation abilities, especially in remote relationship management with vendors and customers.
