About the Role
Join Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank as a Procurement Manager, where your individual contributions are highly valued and professional advancement is supported. The Finance team partners closely with business units to drive performance, optimize cost management, and enhance services while ensuring disciplined risk and liquidity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the supplier selection process, planning and negotiating bids and contract renewals in accordance with the Bank's procurement policies to maximize cost efficiency and compliance.
- Evaluate risks focusing on time and cost impacts to maintain fairness and transparency in the bidding procedures.
- Negotiate critical supply contracts, approving or rejecting deviations to ensure contract compliance with internal standards.
- Contribute to developing procurement strategies aimed at cost reduction, spend control, and fostering a culture of sustained procurement savings across functions.
- Ensure correct execution and monitoring of procurement procedures, rectifying inconsistencies to uphold best practices and adherence to relevant codes of conduct.
- Monitor key procurement metrics for expense reduction and operational effectiveness improvements.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing and recommending cost-effective deals and reliable suppliers.
- Conduct negotiations with existing and prospective vendors to secure favorable contract terms.
- Manage both own and team’s adherence to ADCB’s people management policies to maximize contributions to organizational performance.
- Oversee team activities ensuring targets and business plans are met in line with policies, processes, and systems.
- Implement and enforce departmental policies and procedures, maintaining service quality standards for customers and stakeholders.
- Motivate and engage the team to identify and implement change initiatives aligned with Bank standards.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Bank’s service promise and standards in all internal and external interactions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of six years’ experience in procurement management roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant or equivalent is required.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Understanding of macroeconomic factors impacting sourcing and procurement strategies.
- Expertise in sourcing and procurement methods with a keen market insight.
- Negotiation and networking prowess.
- Proficient with supplier or third-party management software.
