Role Overview
This position centers on advancing fabrication processes for the newest magnetic sensors intended for industrial, medical, and consumer use. The person selected will join the technology development unit, playing a critical role in guiding projects from initial concept to mass production. This environment will support growth in process integration, troubleshooting, device layout, and characterization, surrounded by an enthusiastic and cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with device experts and design teams to define process needs and device specifications, while providing updates on project milestones to both management and customers.
- Work in conjunction with the process engineering group to develop and transition new fabrication methods for magnetoresistive sensors from prototype to scalable production.
- Partner with Quality teams to specify and implement stress and test methodologies, and liaise with Failure Analysis specialists to identify failure routes and enhance process reliability and device robustness.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Engineering with substantial R&D experience (over 5 years), or a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related area.
Technical Proficiencies
- Experience with development and characterization of magnetic materials and systems.
- Expertise in magnetic field sensor research and analysis.
Preferable Skills
- Hands-on background in cleanroom operations.
- Familiarity with wafer-level processing equipment such as photolithography, PVD, etching, and inspection tools.
- Proficient with material characterization instruments, including profilometers, XRD, XRR, CDSEM, and MOKE.
- Demonstrated ability in process control development and execution.
Additional Information
- 10% travel may be required.
- Role is primarily on first shift (days).
